I really like Brownbird’s music, but I am so not down with him destroying the furniture. The chair seemed to be of a pretty good quality, and took a long time to break.
Regardless of whether or not it was well made, it was upsetting to see the destruction of something that wasn’t his own private property.

Blah blah blah, the whole destruction thing comes out of the punk movement, I get it. But (especially) in this day and age of cheap quality mass-produced furniture (among other things), I think he could at least have brought his own cheaply made chair to destroy, or at least gone dumpster diving (the most punk of all) for something to break, instead of destroying someone else’s property. Not cool.

Since this seems to be his shtick, it really makes me question whether I want to go to one of his shows again.
